The Center for Audit Quality announced this week that the third annual “#AuditorProud” campaign will go live on social media channels this Thursday, September 28. The campaign looks to raise awareness and introduce more students and young professionals to the many career paths auditing provides.
Audit professionals from around the world will use the hashtag to share their stories on why they chose audit and what makes them proud to be a part of the profession.
“Today more than ever, auditing has so much to offer,” stated Deloitte CEO and CAQ governing board chair Cathy Engelbert. “It’s a profession that’s evolving. It combines the language of business and critical thinking with data analytics and artificial intelligence. So, the future of work isn’t just coming – it’s here now in a career that can offer professional growth, workplace flexibility, and the chance to advise leaders of iconic businesses around the world.”
This year, the CAQ is also inviting students to participate in the “#FutureAuditor” contest, wherein students can upload a selfie or post with the hashtag explaining why they are interested in audit careers.
“#AuditorProud day is a celebration of the important work that auditors do to serve investors and promote strong capital markets across the globe,” said CAQ executive director Cindy Fornelli, per a statement. “The profession is committed to attracting the best and the brightest future auditors to continue its long tradition of innovation and ongoing work to build trust in financial reporting.”
