Bloomberg for Education and the CFA Institute announced this week a new addition to the Bloomberg Terminal, dubbed “CFAPRO.” The new function brings together the Learning Outcome Statements of the CFA Program for chartered financial analysts with Bloomberg’s data and news functionality. Bloomberg Terminal users can now access the database by entering {CFAPROGO}.
“Bloomberg is a hub for the financial community, and we hope CFAPRO will help increase market literacy among aspiring and experienced finance professionals,” stated Rob Langrick, head of Bloomberg. “This new technology on the Bloomberg Terminal should give students a solid leg up on the career ladder.”
With interest in CFA licensure rising around the world, Bloomberg for Education developed CFAPRO by reviewing the Learning the Outcome Statements of the CFA Program and matching them with 387 Bloomberg Terminal functions to create a more seamless learning experience.
“The CFA charter sets the standard for credentials in investment management, and is held by more than 150,000 professionals around the world,” said Stephen Horan, managing director of Credentialing at the CFA Institute, per a statement. “By joining forces with Bloomberg, a global leader in business information, we further our reach to a global community of future financial analysts dedicated to professional growth and upholding the highest standards of competence and ethics.”
