FloQast, a startup company that provides close management software for accountants, has debuted Perm Docs, a new feature that centralizes the storage of important supporting documentation needed for a given close or subsequent audit, but not tied to only a single time period.
Perm Docs, short for “permanent documents,” can include policies and procedures documentation, significant contracts, charts of accounts, board minutes, leases, an articles of incorporation. The documents can have a life span across multiple close periods and remain accessible to the accounting and finance staff who need them.
The new Perm Docs feature works in conjunction with a customer’s cloud document storage in FloQast. Users can set up folders to organize documents and configure them for documents relevant to all of a company’s entities, or only one of them. Administrators can add, delete or edit folder names within the cloud storage folders and those changes will automatically be reflected in FloQast. Administrators can create as many folders as they want and they will all be visible and accessible from within FloQast.
“Close management software created by accountants for accountants is more than just a tagline,” said FloQast CEO Mike Whitmire in a statement. “We have accountants in every department, including sales, marketing, development, support and, of course, finance. This creates an ‘accounting mindset’ that helps us build solutions tailored to the real needs of accountants, giving them features and capabilities that save them time and make them more productive.”
Perm Docs is included in the Team, Business and Enterprise Plans for FloQast Close Management Software. For more information, visit www.floqast.com/products.
