The CFP Board Center for Financial Planning announced on Thursday a call for papers for its third annual Academic Research Colloquium for Financial Planning and Related Disciplines, to be held February 19-21, 2019, in Arlington, Va.
The Academic Research Colloquium offers practitioners the chance to connect with researchers and discuss the main issues affecting financial planning. The Best Paper Awards highlight financial planning research on vital topics, such as big data, estate planning, health care, investments, public policy and taxation. Winners will receive a $2,500 cash prize for their papers.
The Center recently named the 2018 Best Paper winners during its Academic Research Colloquium this past February. A full list of 2018 accepted papers is available online here.
“We congratulate the winners of each of the five Best Paper Awards from the 2018 Academic Research Colloquium. Each represents strong scholarships that answer relevant questions relative to both theory and practice,” said Charles Chaffin, director of academic Initiatives at the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning, in a statement. “We have just released the Call for Papers for the 2019 colloquium and are developing some new and innovative strategies for enhanced engagement of academe and practice.”
The deadline for submitting a paper or abstract is Sept. 15, 2018. For more information, head to the CFP Board’s site here.
