Sean Taylor was appointed managing partner at Smith Howard, Atlanta, effective Jan. 1, 2019. Taylor, as part of the firm’s leadership transition plan, assumes the role from long-time manaing partner John Lucht, who will transition to a consultative role in 2019.

Draffin Tucker announced five promotions: in the Albany office, Ryan Chancey was promoted to senior in the health care and commercial practices, Savannah Spraggins to senior in the health care practice, and Tyler Roose to senior in the commercial practice; in the Atlanta office, Darin Lane was promoted to manager in the health care practice, and Mercedes McKoy to senior in the health care and commercial practices.
