The American Institute of CPAs, New York, announced the winners of the 2018 Effective Learning Strategies Awards, bestowed to college and university educators who develop unique and effective teaching tools for introductory, upper division, and graduate courses. The AICPA announced, as winners of the Bea Sanders/AICPA Teaching Innovation Award: Markus Ahrens (St. Louis Community College) and Cathy Scott (Navarro College); of the George Krull/Grant Thornton Teaching Innovation Award: Lynnan Mocek and Veronica Paz, both of Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and of the Mark Chain/Federation of Schools of Accountancy Teaching Innovation Award: Brigitte Muehlmann, Virginia Soybel, and Robert Turner of Babson College.
