Intuit introduces QuickBooks Online Advanced

Intuit has introduced QuickBooks Online Advanced, an accounting solution that uses artificial intelligence to target at more complex, fast-growing businesses.

The cloud-based solution leverages the existing data and information within the QuickBooks ecosystem from its reported 3.4 million users and applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to offer insights and patterns that help growing companies better run their business, Intuit says.

Like QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Advanced is connected to third-party applications such as online bill pay and inventory management that can be added and custom fit to meet customer needs. The solution also includes Intuit’s premium service program, QuickBooks Priority Circle, which provides a dedicated customer success manager to assist small businesses with their technical and product questions.

“Intuit has been helping small businesses grow for decades, and we are often one of the first partners a new business chooses in their journey,” stated Alex Chriss, senior vice president and chief product officer for the small business self-employed group at Intuit. “As these businesses grow, many are faced with the decision to move off our platform, forced to transition to the next level of enterprise software that is both expensive and too complex for their needs. Not only does this involve the transfer of data, it requires learning a whole new system to run their accounting. We can now serve customers who are self-employed all the way to those with hundreds of employees and a high volume of transactions.”

Customers of QuickBooks Online Advanced users will receive five complimentary online training courses for QuickBooks, an offering Intuit values at $2,000.

Not available now, but planned for the future, is the import invoices functionality, which will allow users to import invoices created outside QuickBooks. Also planned are custom user permissions, which apply unique employee permissions to manage data access and delegate individual use of product features for optimized productivity. More features and benefits will be added to the product over the coming months, according to Intuit.

Intuit is offering QuickBooks Online Advanced at $150 a month — for comparison, QuickBooks Online Plus costs $60 a month. Both solutions are currently being offered at a 50 percent discount for the first three months of use. For more information, visit https://quickbooks.intuit.com/accounting/advanced/.
