Firms on the move: NCCPAP turns 40

Sax, Clifton, held its second annual Founder’s Award ceremony, celebrating local nonprofits and awarding one, Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children (pictured), a $15,000 unrestricted gift for its efforts. Two runners-up — The Jed Foundation and Home Sharing Inc. — will receive 40 volunteer hours and 25 volunteer hours, respectively. The firm’s not-for-profit practice solicited essay and video submissions from nearly 150 nonprofits, which were judged by five independent judges.

Prager Metis CPAs has moved its Hackensack office to a larger space at 401 Hackensack Avenue, 4th Floor.

CPA Associates International, Glen Rock, announced its officers for 2019: Paul K. Rudoy, managing partner of H2R CPA, will serve as chair; Jeffrey J. Vroman, managing partner of The Vroman Group, as chairman-elect; Scott E. Bush, a shareholder at Soukup, Bush Associates, as treasurer; and Mary L. Lynch, a partner at Haefele, Flanagan Co., as secretary. The association also named a number of directors: Jeffrey Anzovino, Frank Hayes, Judith M. Scarborough, Paul P. Scholz and James B. Wagoner.
