AICPA honors Personal Financial Planning Standing Ovation recipients

The American Institute of CPAs announced that seven CPAs, all under the age of 40, have been honored with the Personal Financial Planning Standing Ovation award for their contributions to the personal financial planning field. Recipients were honored at the AICPA’s Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference in Las Vegas, part of the ongoing 2019 AICPA Engage conference.

This year’s class of honorees made contributions including implementing new technology in their firms, volunteering their services at the national and local level, fundraising over one million dollars for charitable causes and mentoring fellow young CPAs and accounting students via public speaking, online tutorials and in-person programs.

“The AICPA is pleased to recognize each of these honorees,” stated Andrea Millar, director of personal financial planning at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. “They’ve made impressive strides in their careers at a young age and are poised to continue the long tradition of CPAs helping clients achieve their life goals through effective financial planning. Their achievements underscore the impact CPAs are able to make in both their communities and the profession at an early age.”

Standing Ovation honorees in the personal financial planning space must maintain an active CPA license, be an AICPA member in good standing and hold the Personal Financial Specialist credential. Nominees must be 40 years old or younger.
