BPM LLP, a Top 100 Firm based in San Francisco, has expanded in the Seattle area by adding CPA Consulting, a firm based in Bellevue, Washington.
CPA Consulting was founded in 1997 and works with clients throughout western Washington, Hawaii and Alaska. After the merger, its 10-person team will continue to work out of its Bellevue location. Jeff Mock is joining BPM as the partner-in-charge of the new BPM Seattle regional office.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BPM, formerly known as Burr Pilger Mayer, ranked 50th on Accounting Today’s 2019 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $97.6 million in annual revenue. Before the merger, BPM had approximately 45 partners and 500 employees.
“We’re excited to expand within the Seattle market and do so with a team of like-minded professionals committed to our vision of contributing to the success of our communities, clients and colleagues,” said BPM CEO Jim Wallace in a statement. “The Seattle market is dynamic, and we’re prepared to provide existing and new clients with outstanding tax, financial statement and advisory resources. We’re grateful to do so with the CPA Consulting team.”
Last year, BPM expanded to Southern California by combining with Kramer Olsen Accountancy Corporation in Orange County and earlier this year to California’s Central Valley by merging in Croce Company in Stockton.
CPA Consulting anticipates its clients will benefit through the combination. “By joining BPM, our clients will benefit from a wider set of services and team members while receiving the same personal service that CPA Consulting is known for,” said Jeff Mock, founding partner of CPA Consulting, in a statement. “Both firms believe in the value of supporting their clients, communities and people in every way possible, and we’re excited to integrate their depth of knowledge with our regional experience and reputation in the Seattle area.”
