RSM US and the PGA Tour have announced the second annual RSM Birdies Fore Love charity program via an on-course competition over the first 11 events of the 2019-20 PGA Tour Season.
This year, the three golfers with the most birdies during the first 11 events of the tour will earn $300,000, $150,000 and $50,000, respectively, for the charity of their choice. The player who records the most birdies (or better) in each fall event will also earn $50,000 for the charity of their choice, bringing the total amount of donations for this year’s program to more than $1 million.
The Birdies Fore Love program will begin with the Military Tribute at the Greenbrier event in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, and conclude with the RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia.
“Stewardship has been one of RSM’s core values since our firm was founded in 1926,” stated Andy Bosman, chief marketing officer with RSM US. “In fact, that commitment to community is a value shared by the PGA Tour, and one of the key reasons behind our title sponsorship of The RSM Classic. RSM Birdies Fore Love provides us with an opportunity to amplify our shared focus on giving back to the community on a national and international level — and to invite our colleagues, clients, friends and family from around the world to help us help those in need.”
“I am humbled by the widespread support RSM Birdies Fore Love has received and continues to receive,” said PGA Tour golfer Davis Love in a statement. “At the end of the day, leaving things better than we found them is one of the most important things we as individuals, organizations and companies can do. I’m honored to work with a partner like RSM to help make a positive difference for those in need.”
RSM and the Davis Love Foundation have donated more than $13 million to over 200 nonprofits across the country since the inception of the RSM Classic in 2010, including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Special Olympics, Blessings in a Backpack and Folds of Honor.
