As a result, CFOs have started to evaluate or invest in workflow automation for accounts payable and accounts receivable. COVID’s work-from-home demands have bolstered the case for more technology, particularly automation, that makes it easier for employees to coordinate simple tasks from separate locations.
The same CFO survey shows a direct correlation between how executives approach tech adoption and how optimistic they are about future growth. The 65 percent of executives who were the most enthusiastic about technology were also the most likely to say they expected their companies to grow in the coming year.
Just as you’ve had to adjust your workflows this year, so have your clients. They are still seeking out whatever will help them stay in business or pivot their processes to be more efficient. These decisions are often in the moment, and they need real-time numbers on their business to make them.
