Given how disastrous 2020 was, the fact that the 2021 class of the Top 100 Firms and Regional Leaders showed growth at all was remarkable — and that so many managed double-digit revenue increases is remarkable.

And yet, while there were a full 20 firms from the two lists that posted growth rates above 15 percent, the number of Top 100 Firms and Regional Leaders that grew by more than 20 percent was down to only eight, from 15 last year, suggesting that that kind of phenomenal expansion is becoming harder to achieve.
