Vault.com ranks best accounting internships of 2018

Online career resource Vault.com recently published their ranking of the 2018 Best Accounting Internships, ultimately compiling a top twenty list of firms and their programs.

Vault polled over 12,000 interns from more than 400 companies to determine this year’s rankings, which were then separated into 14 different industries including accounting. Respondents were asked to rate their experiences on a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) in five main areas: quality of life, compensation/benefits, interview process, career development, and full-time employment benefits. The ratings were then averaged to determine the top programs.

“As everyone knows, an internship is essential to college students looking to advance their careers in a chosen industry,” stated Tara McCaffrey, vice president of marketing at Vault. “Companies are looking to recruit top talent before they graduate college and are using internships as the best way to assess potential employees. At the same time, college students view internships as the best way to test drive their chosen career path. These rankings offer students an opportunity to determine which companies are the best fit for their career goals.”

Notably, Top 100 Firms Elliot Davis Decosimo and Frank, Rimerman + Co. ranked 1st and 3rd, respectively, on the site’s overall 50 Best Internships of 2018, finishing ahead of the likes of Nickelodeon.
