UHY Advisors, Inc. has acquired Bright Point Consulting, a finance and accounting software implementation firm based in Raleigh, N.C.
Bright Point was founded in 2010 and focuses on implementing software-as-a-service, or SaaS, solutions for corporate finance and accounting departments.
Financial terms were not disclosed. UHY Advisors, based in Chicago, ranked 32nd on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $126.5 million in annual revenue.
“UHY Advisors’ acquisition of Bright Point Consulting’s practice brings together the complementary strengths of our respective organizations,” said Frank Fenello, managing director of UHY Advisors in the southeast, who leads UHY’s Management Technology Consulting practice in Atlanta. “Bright Point has expanded our already robust BlackLine software implementation and optimization capabilities and resources, and they have brought additional capabilities for both Host Analytics and Workiva software implementations. These additional capabilities and resources have enhanced our nationwide project capabilities with more team members located in key markets.”
As part of the deal, Bright Point managing director Bill Rausch and director of operations Jeffrey Hare will become managing directors at UHY Advisors.
“Our combined team of talented professionals will have the ability to implement cloud-based tools for clients using the industry’s most innovative software platforms, allowing us to help our clients transform key business areas,” Rausch said in a statement. “The combination of our two practices will allow us to better serve our clients through the breadth of product offerings and depth of knowledge from each practice.”
