HBK CPAs launches firmwide ‘HBK Cares’ program
HBK CPAs Consultants, a Top 100 Firm based in Canfield, Ohio, has announced the launch of its philanthropic HBK Cares initiative, providing a cohesive, firm-wide charity program across all of its offices.
HBK Cares will see its offices help the local communities in which they serve. Early partner organizations include the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
“Community engagement is an important part of our culture and a cornerstone of our corporate responsibility,” stated Christopher Allegretti, CEO and managing principal of HBK, in a statement. “We serve our communities and support charities under the banner of HBK Cares.”
The program debuted this January by honoring National Blood Donor month. Throughout the month, staff members will be participating in blood drives and using its social media platforms to share team participation statistics.
“This is our honor and privilege; we feel it is our responsibility to ‘pay it forward’ in the cities, townships and societies we call home,” stated Patricia Kimerer, HBK’s director of communications and organizer of the project. “It’s the right thing to do.”
A “Be Kind Day” will also be announced later in the year, wherein all firm offices will close and support a local project of their choice.
