Clark Schaefer Hackett has merged in LublinSussman Group, a firm based in Toledo, Ohio, effective July 1, 2017.
As part of the deal, Lee Wunschel, Thomas Jaffee and Eric Golus of LublinSussman will join CSH as shareholders. Clark Schaefer Hackett’s Toledo staff plans to relocate to LSG’s offices.
The 79-year-old firm already has a Toledo location, having acquired Brell Holt Co. in January 2012. LublinSussman was founded in 1971 in Toledo.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding our presence in Toledo, and we look forward to serving more clients and having a positive impact on the community,” said CSH President Kerry Roe in a statement.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CSH, based in Cincinnati, ranked 64th on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $64.64 million in annual revenue.
Wunschel will be shareholder-in-charge of the combined Toledo office, which will have a total of 21 professionals, including the three new CSH shareholders.
“This merger will enable us to offer many new services and areas of expertise,” Wunschel said in a statement. “We are excited to join Clark Schaefer Hackett, continuing the tradition of excellence that our clients and associates have come to expect.”
CSH has made several MA deals in recent years. In 2014, CSH acquired J.D. Cloud, one of the oldest independent CPA firms in Cincinnati. That same year, it also acquired Schoonover Boyer Associates in Columbus, and opened an office in Northern Kentucky.
