Firms giving back: GSCPA holds charity golf tournament

The Educational Foundation the Georgia Society of CPAs recently hosted its Annual Golf Tournament at the Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton, Georgia.

Golfers and attendees spent the day networking and playing while raising approximately $20,000 for various scholarships and programming benefiting Georgia college students. This year’s tournament featured 95 players.

“Having been involved with the GSCPA for several years now, I’ve seen the good that is being done by the foundation,” said Tanner Glenn, of winning firm McNair McLemore Middlebrooks Co., in a statement. “Our firm … decided to make the trek from Macon to participate in the GSCPA golf tournament this year in support of the foundation. We had a great time, and it was made even better knowing we were supporting such a great cause.”

Prizes were presented to the top three scoring teams, as well as top golfers. This years team and individual winners include:

· 1st: McNair McLemore Middlebrooks Co.
· 2nd: Rushton Co.
· 3rd: Aprio.
· Foundation Cup: Rushton Co.
· Putting: Brad Bernard, Draffin Tucker.
· Chipping: Blake Head, BDO USA.
· Longest Drive: Michael Bork, Capital Directions.
· Closet to the Pin: Adam Bateman, Moore Colson Co.
